Liquid Face Lift
A new approach to facial rejuvenation without plastic surgery.
Cosmetic medical options have undergone a major shift in the treatment of facial aging with a new focus being placed on prevention and less invasive therapies. The latest advancement in anti-ageing cosmetic procedures is all about lifting, smoothing and re-volumising facial features without a scalpel or anaesthetist in sight. The procedure is termed the “liquid face lift” and is the answer for anyone who feels they need a “lift” in their looks and lives quickly and cost effectively. No more visible scarring or long recovery periods and delivering results in around an hour, it’s no wonder that 2009 is all about the liquid facelift.
As we age, we lose fat from beneath the skin of the face. This loss of underlying support means the skin can appear to hang on the face.
You may notice:
- Hollowing in the cheeks where the youthful fat pad has shrunk over time
- The cheeks deflating and drooping, accentuating the nasolabial folds (creases running from the nose to the mouth)
- Beneath the eyes becomes sunken with dark shadows giving a perpetual tired look
- The jaw may dip down beside the mouth, resulting in a sad or grumpy look
Volumising is a simple, safe and non-invasive treatment. There is no need for a general anaesthetic, or fat harvesting from other areas of the body.
At Face Value we use hyaluronan fillers such Juvederm® and Fortelis® to revolumise areas of the face .These fillers are made from a natural carbohydrate that is already present in the body, and simply decreases with age. This gel-like substance is injected deep under the skin, to the areas required. Volumising is a cost-effective alternative to surgery. Most clients need between 1-3 ml of product, to achieve a volume and contour improvement.

A volumising treatment lasts between 12-24 months, depending on the amount of filler used.
