Dermal Fillers
At Face Value, we use dermal fillers to lift and sculpt the skin, to correct wrinkles and fine lines, add volume and balance, and correct facial asymmetries.
The dermal fillers we use are non-permanent gels made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and are of the highest quality and safety. Different fillers are of different thicknesses and strengths and we tailor each to the area treated and the desired outcome. There is a local anaesthetic in the dermal filler which reduces any pain of injection, and if required, a topical local anaesthetic cream is offered to make the procedure of dermal fillers completely comfortable.
At Face Value, our first and foremost goal is to ensure a safe and natural Dermal Filler result. Our Doctors and Registered Nurses have significant advanced training and experience in the use of a wide range of non-permanent dermal fillers and understand the science behind each particular filler. They have an essential in-depth knowledge of anatomy to ensure you are in safe hands to achieve the look you desire.
Dermal Fillers for Lip Enhancement
Lip enhancement, or lip augmentation, is one of Face Value’s most popular procedures. We have a reputation for crafting beautifully shaped lips, carefully tailored to suit individual face shapes to maintain balance and a natural appearance.
Dermal Fillers For Mid Face
Deep depressions or hollowness in the cheeks may occur due to the drooping of tissues from age, disease, or as an effect of some medical conditions. A deep Dermal Filler treatment can be used to replace lost volume in the cheeks. Alternatively, a Dermal Filler agent can be placed into the deeper layers of the skin, or near the surface of underlying bone, to plump up a broad expanse of tissue. The Dermal Filler will then lift the surface of the overlying skin and create fuller cheeks. Volumising with dermal fillers is a simple, safe and non-invasive treatment.
Dermal Fillers For Lower Face
Jawline fillers can help to address a number of concerns in the lower face whether it is dealing with lines, volume loss and jowling associated with ageing, or in the younger face providing structure, contour and definition. We can project the chin forward to provide balance and proportion, enhancing the profile and defining and strengthening the jawline.

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Dermal fillers are mainly used to soften and often reverse fine lines and wrinkles and hence, rejuvenate the face. An increasingly common area of treatment for dermal fillers is to redefine the lip border and soften or eradicate peri oral lines (smokers lines). Dermal fillers can be used to shape and revolumise the lips to help restore a beautiful smile and a more confident appearance. The natural aging of the face results in both the formation of fine lines, and a change in the contours of the face, both of which can be treated with Dermal fillers to restore a youthful appearance. By placing dermal fillers deeper beneath the skin, we can build up lost volume in the cheeks to restore your natural “triangle of beauty”, and in doing so restore your more youthful and natural look through improving contour and volume and addressing residual fine lines and wrinkles. The ultimate goal of dermal fillers is to restore your beauty and confidence by making you look your natural best.
How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last?
Dermal fillers last between six to eighteen months according to the product used and the depth at which the dermal fillers are placed.
Are Dermal Fillers Painful?
When it comes to dermal fillers, here at Face Value we the take time to assess appropriate pain relief, if any is needed, at the time of a dermal fillers treatment. It is not uncommon for clients not to need any local anaesthesia for dermal fillers, however, in the area of the lip we use topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. At Face Value the “no pain no gain” philosophy does not apply to dermal fillers! We know that if your dermal filler procedure is an unpleasant experience you won't be likely to have on-going treatments.
How Is A Treatment With Dermal Fillers Different From A Treatment With Botulinum Toxin?
Dermal fillers are used as an injectable gel to provide additional volume to the skin. Dermal fillers reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and the dermal fillers gel provides volume to areas that may have lost volume, such as sunken cheeks. Wrinkle relaxers (botulinum toxin) differ from dermal fillers in that they are injected to reduce muscle movement, which in turn is a means of preventing wrinkles from forming. Where dermal fillers would add volume to firm the face, Botulinum Toxin reduces the appearance of wrinkles by relaxing the skin.
How Long Does A Treatment With Dermal Fillers Take?
After providing a thorough consultation to ensure dermal fillers will be right for you, the treatment itself usually takes no longer than 30 minutes. Book a free consulation with us today.
